Overview
For the people leading post-secondary education forward
Leading a post-secondary institution has never been more complex. The demands are significant and growing: financial pressure, political scrutiny, rapid AI adoption and rising expectations from students, staff, board members and funders.
We work with leaders across post-secondary education to develop the human side of the role, building the confidence, relationships and judgement that help institutions navigate uncertainty without losing sight of what they are for.

FAQs
What kinds of post-secondary leaders do you work with?
We work with leaders across the full range of post-secondary institutions, including universities, colleges and institutes, at every level from department heads and deans through to vice-chancellors, presidents and senior administrators. Programs can be designed for individuals, leadership teams or whole institutions.
Can individual post-secondary leaders join a program, or is it only for institutions?
Both. Individual leaders can access 1:1 development and AI-enabled learning tools. Institutions can commission co-designed programs for cohorts, leadership teams or whole faculties.
How do you approach the political sensitivity of leadership development in post-secondary education?
We understand that leadership conversations in post-secondary institutions often involve real institutional risk, reputational, political and relational. All coaching relationships are fully confidential, and we work with the complexity of academic governance rather than around it. Many of our coaches have worked in or alongside post-secondary institutions themselves.
What makes your approach different from other leadership development providers in post-secondary education?
Often leadership development available to post-secondary leaders is either built for the corporate world and adapted, or too narrow, focused on a single framework or methodology. We bring the research base and global infrastructure of BTS alongside genuine sector knowledge, co-designing programs that fit the specific pressures and culture of post-secondary education rather than importing a model from elsewhere.
What is the Mindset Map and how does it inform your approach?
Our Mindset Map is a framework of 30 leadership mindsets built from over 150,000 coaching conversations and decades of leadership research. It sits at the heart of everything we do; not as a fixed curriculum, but as a flexible foundation that allows us to co-design development around what matters most for each leader and institution. For leaders in post-secondary education, that might mean focusing on how to communicate difficult decisions credibly, build trust across a complex institution, or lead with clarity when political and financial pressures are pulling in different directions.
